The Katsujinken Aikido Kan dojo is a Traditional Aikido club practising in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, and in Glasgow.
‘Katsujinken’ is a martial philosophy that means literally ‘the sword that gives life’. This is representative of the Spirit and Philosophy of Aikido, where the techniques are designed to neutralise and re-direct an opponents energy back to them to empower and overcome their efforts. By applying principles of Katsujinken, both in theory and in practice, we can be responsible for the use of our skills to inflict minimum damage for maximum effect.
