Ishikengo Dojo is a branch of the Yama Gawa Ha Dojo, situated in Narre Warren South, Melbourne.

Ishikengo Dojo is proud to be the first branch of the Yama Gawa Dojo. The meaning of the name refers to having strong determination, willpower and firmness of purpose.

Ishikengo Dojo is run by Matthew Smithells Sensei, 2nd Dan Fudoshin. Matthew Sensei holds blackbelt’s in Karate, Judo and Jujitsu. Currently he is working towards his weapons master certification. He is very excited to be sharing his experience and knowledge with the students and helping them achieve their goals.

Due to the nature of the relationship with Yama Gawa, students encouraged to train at the hombu dojo. As Matthew Sensei maintains teaching responsibilities and training obligations at Yama Gawa.
